Shell Manzoline

Shelli has been acting since she was a youth growing up in the Upper Peninsula of
Michigan. She received an acting scholarship to attend Northern Michigan University
where she majored in Theater and Philosophy. She furthered her studies at Miami
University of Ohio in Oxford and took her first job under an Equity contract working for
the Walt Disney World Corp. as a writer and performer for The Anicomical Players.

She spent 5 years as Resident Company Member of Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop-
writing, performing , and teaching improvisation.

For years, she made her home in Minneapolis, performing at The Guthrie Theater, Hey City
Theater,Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Old Log Theater, History Theater, the Southern Theater and more.

Her on-screen credits include film (A Method, Running on Empty), television (Project Greenlight
on HBO, American Monsters, In an Instant) and, most recently performing the role of Adeline in Lifetime's "Murder at the Lighthouse." She works as an on-camera and voice talent
represented exclusively by Moore Creative Talent.

 

Shelli recently celebrated her 10th year as Artistic Director and Writer for the Minnesota Dance Collaborative. Under her direction, they created multiple original shows each year, performed at numerous community events across Minnesota, and produced events for venues such as the Mall of America, Children’s Hospital, and B&B Theaters. Recently, MDC was delighted to create and share the virtual rendition of “HoliDaydream- A Very COVID Christmas.”

Shelli is also the founder of Acting in Motion. AIM is committed to bringing traditional
Method Acting to Dancers, helping to take them from proficient technicians to true Artists.
In the last few years, Shelli has been working and living both in Minnesota and NYC. She
teaches through AIM and co-founded Coming Up Roses- producing and performing
improvisation in various venues in NYC.
